Know that they conceal their chests to hide from Him; know that while they cover themselves with their clothing, Lord Allah Knows what they conceal and what they disclose; indeed, He is Knower of the state of the chests.
During the revelation of this verse, the disbelievers in Mecca were indulged in shameful deeds like encircling the Ka'bah in the nude. At the same time, during the night in their bedrooms, they covered their bodies completely to hide their nakedness from the Lord. Their concept of the Lord was not as Adhikr submits.
Today, these verses are read only by the Fujjar. They are worse than the Meccan pagans during the time of the Messenger. They indulged in sodomy, rape, theft, incestuous sexual relationships, terrorism, chauvinism, discrimination, and all such forbidden satanic deeds more than any other people, as explained in verses 2:168-169. These worthless people have a worse concept of the Lord Allah than any other people. So they are denoted as the worst creatures among the 1000 communities of the Lord’s creatures, as explained in verses 8:22 and 55. Among mankind, they are the only ones reading verses such as 17:13-14; 18:49; 23:62-63; 36:12, and 45:28-29, which tell about the Recording Book fastened around everyone’s neck, which will be produced as an Illuminated open Book on the Day of Judgment for Reckoning oneself. But these Mujirims are not living with this consciousness. They will wail on the Day of Judgment while reading their Recording Book, as explained in verse 10:70.
